Title: Eclipse Cookbook
Author:
Publisher: O'Reilly
ISBN: 0596007108
Review:

Steve Holzner's Eclipse Cookbook provides information about this free development environment to all levels of technical people. Eclipse is an open source development environment targeted at Java programmers. As a development environment, Eclipse provides far more functionality than just a code editor; function popups, class creation, and even automatic refactoring are supported. These can be daunting features, but the Eclipse Cookbook will get you working quickly.

Like All the books in the cookbook series, this book provides you information in small doses that each address a particular concern. The book starts out with basic installation and usage sections and proceeds rapidly into using Eclipse to do Java development. Everything from coding to debugging gets it's own section. In addition to using Eclipse to develop other software, the book tackles writing plugins and extensions to Eclipse itself. This will allow the reader to further customize his environment to be the most useful (and hopefully contribute to the open source community as a whole).

Overall I enjoyed this book and would recommend it to any Java programmer.
